Progressive workshop retreat - Breaking the habit of being yourself

A few weekends ago I went to Basel, Switzerland to attend a Dr. Joe Dizpensas progressive retreat. I had no idea what to expect, I felt nervous and excited. I agreed to go not really knowing what I was signing up for and I tried to keep it that way, all I knew is that it was going to help me grow and learn. Wow, what an incredible experience, over 8,000 people from over 70 countries in one large room for all kinds of reasons but with one goal to better themselves. I met some amazing people, laughed, danced, cried and so much more.

I'm going to go a little off track with my blogs because I think this deserves its own one and it's important to share with you. I'm going to try my best to put it into words and get the point across! Dr. Joe Dispenza is known for his work on the intersection of neuroscience, epigenetics, and quantum physics. His teachings often revolve around the idea that individuals can create significant changes in their lives, physically and mentally, by understanding and reprogramming their thoughts, emotions, and beliefs.

He shows that by practicing techniques such as meditation, visualization, and mindfulness, individuals can effectively rewire their brains and manifest desired outcomes in their lives. But as he said and showed through his success stories, to achieve these things we must repeat, stick to it and work hard everyday. But as I've learnt things that are worth it don't come easy! He told stories how people had gone to now of his week long retreats in a wheelchair and left being able walk, how people had cured their PTSD, cancer, sight and to this day 59 other types of illnesses/diseases.

Dispenza also emphasizes the role of the subconscious mind in shaping our reality. He teaches methods to access and influence the subconscious through meditation and other practices, allowing individuals to break free from limiting beliefs and habits. This is like the hypnosis work I do with clients day to day allowing us to change subconsciously.

This is just me scratching the surface and giving you a brief overview of his work and the experience I had. After all the different work I've done over the past on myself I feel this is adding another bow to my string and I can't wait to put it into practice in my work helping others and my personal life. To finish this blog I want to share a few of the quotes that really stuck with me from that weekend and they were; ‘you are the creator of your life’, ‘believe, behave and become’, ‘the unknown and love has never let me down’ and lastly my favourite question was ‘who is worth wasting that many years of your life on?’ The question stuck with me massively because who is really worth all that time, energy and negative emotions that you destroy yourself.
